The Rave New Years Eve Lights

Founded in 2013, Imperial Magazine had the pursuit & determination to share with people the most interesting topics and media on the internet.; As the years went on thousands of returning readers picked up on it's prescreens. The identity that was overall achieved derived from the styles of modern nightclub design, from the grossing popularity in media blogs like Highsnobiety & Hypebeast, and even from companies like Face Design & OWSLA Records. It stays true to it's Chicago roots & even it's passion for sharing content that wasn't solely notarized. Over the course of it's reign in Chicago's news scene it was given the chance to cover the most amazing content it came across in the midwest.

Today Imperial continues with its return back in late 2023. It’s been a true passion to do something like this & we’ve never got tired of sharing my music, fashion, & quirky topics with people. Topics covered range from all kinds as it really pertains to what catches my eye but I try to stay around entertainment like music and fashion and health overall. The point of it’s creation was to build a website for the local communities of Chicago and to write about topics, ideas, and events in the world that don’t get talked about as much but should still be focused on or should be shared with the world or shown to the public with cultural references and/or perspective.

Above and below are posts that we created for social or for the original website page on Tumblr before we created our own webpage for the magazine. These are the types of topics we would usually cover. The theme originally was to cover fashion and dance music until I realized I wanted to also cover articles like food/drink recipes or politically driven discussions, even articles about influencers and the ridiculous things they’d capture.

What I’ve admired over the years of trying to make this magazine more like my vision everyday was the operation I took upon without even realizing the spectrum of work needed. From doing all the work myself I take pride in this being my first company. Made me want to be a journalist and pursue design further. Concept development of companies I wish existed was really fueled by creating Imperial Media & Kuler. On top of talking/meeting some amazing creatives in the field I was able to discover new passions, hobbies, perspectives, cultures, and a never ending drive to capture things most never knew existed.
